Boston! Boston! Boston!
Hi, guys!
In this post, I'm gonna share my staying in Boston in November.
First of all, let me explain why I went Boston right before the Thanksgiving holiday.
I know it's ridiculous that going somewhere before holiday vacation but this time, I went there to attend job fair called "Boston Career Forum," not just a trip, unfortunately. lol
11月20~22日にかけてボストンキャリアフォーラム、通称ボスキャリに参加するためにボストンへ行きました。今年のボスキャリはサンクスギビングの前の週にあって、なんで休暇前に遠出してるんだろうって、疑問に思ったりもしましたが(笑)結果的には行ってよかったのかなと思います。
理紗子と理紗子のいとこのゆかりちゃんと理紗子の成城の先輩のゆりえさんが前々から会場近くのホテルを押さえていて、そこの飛び入り参加させてもらえることになりました。
会場から徒歩圏内で、本当に便利で助かった！全員に感謝です。
I decided to go there mid-October, so that I didn't have any idea about my accomodation.
However, since my sweet friends gave me a room for me, I didn't need to be homeless in Boston. lol The hotel was not only very close to Boston Convention center but also very clean and comfortable. I really appreciate my friends, especially Risako! Thank you for giving me such a great experience!
で、肝心のボスキャリはというと
結論から言うと内定や最終面接まで進むことは出来ませんでした。
でも参加を決めた時点でスタートが遅かったのもあるし、
ボスキャリ直前に大学の課題やらなんやらで忙しくて、全くと言っていいほど事前応募や企業研究、自己分析もしていなかったので、当然の結果かなと思います。
最初から、内定をいただくために参加するのではなく、
就活の雰囲気を味わうのが目的だったから、そんなに落ち込んだりはしなかったかな。
To be honest, I couldn't get any job at that time.
There were lots of students who have been studying in the U.S more that one year or who prepared and spent much time for this job fair, so that I wasn't so dissapointed to my result because it was obvious that I did nothing for this event comparing to such students.
Anyway, it was really good opportunity which made me realized that I have to get a job to live in this world after I graduate my university.
I guess this job fair was kind a kick-off of my job hunting.
...oh, long long way of job hunting has finally started in my life. lol
最終日の22日は午前中でほとんどの企業ブースが店じまいをするから、
私達も午前中に少しだけ説明会を聞いて、
そのあとは着替えてボストン市街地へ観光しにいきました。
時間があまりなかったから、とりあえず名物は食べて帰ろう！となってクインシーマーケットへ。
中三の時の短期留学以来だったから、6年振り！
イルミネーションもお店もあの時と同じだった。なんか感慨深かったよ。
ホリデーシーズンにボストンに来ることなんてもう一生ないと思ってたけど(航空券高いから笑)
人生どうなるか分かりませんね。
The last day of the job fair, we had free time in the afternoon, so that we went to downtown Boston.
At least, everyone wanted to eat something famous in Boston before leaving and then decided to go to Quincy Market to grab lobster roll and get some souvenirs.
It has been six years since I came to Quincy Market last time!

Of course,
we had lobster roll and clam chowder at this famous shop, Boston Chowda.
It was REALLY good. The combination of lobster roll and chowder is the best!
The bread used for the lobster roll tasted so nice...
(Lobster's taste was like kanikama tho lol)
Holiday season has already started in Boston.

During this trip, I made some new friends.
It was really nice to meeting you guys all.
We have to see you again soon in Japan or somewhere in this world!
At the end of the trip, we stayed in the airport from the night to next morning to take the first flight to go back to Milwaukee. Yukari's flight to Tronto was also in the early morning, so that three of us was chatting and sometimes sleeping until the morning.
It was SO MUCH fun! We were kind of crazy because we had to be staying up all night. lol
翌日の早朝5時とか6時の便だったから空港で一晩過ごしてみました。(人生初！)
りさことゆかりちゃんと話したり、絵しりとりしたり、ダンキンドーナツを夜中に食べたりと
それはそれで超楽しかったです。いい思い出♡

ダンキンで砂糖1つ取ろうとしたら、見知らぬお兄さんが有り余るほどくれた。笑
これ使って馬鹿なことしてた。
Someone gave me too many sugar for me at Boston Logan Airport.lol
今回ボストンで法政の友達にも会えたし、
あさひにも約1年ぶりに(しかもボストンで！)会うことができてエネルギーチャージできました。
考えなきゃいけないことも増えたけれど、行ってよかったと心から思いました。
機会があったらまたボストンを訪れたいなーと思うほど、
やっぱりこの町は素敵でした。
Boston is definitely one of my favorite places in the world!
Through this trip, this city gave me a lot of things.
I really wanna come back here in the future and I'm also excited how I will be changed at the time.
