Chicago day 3 -November 29th-

Hello everyone!
It's already February, I can't believe that spring semester has started and I'm studying. Many of my friends in Japan have finishd their last classes in the college and enjoying the last spring break as students. Some people posted their travel pics on Twitter or Instagram and that makes me want to go back to Japan so badly and also really jealous of their traveling. (Hey I'm studying in very cold place still now!)
Recently, when I'm in the class, these silly questions often come up in my head: Why am I here? Why am I studying now? I know it's ridiculous and everything I am doing now is what I decided to do so. But I can't help thinking about it. This kind of feeling would disappear if I'm satified with my life Lol

And I finally decided which classes I take for this semester and all of them are so much fun! I'm taking SOCIO224:American minority groups, JAMS142:TV & radio in American society, AFRICOL100:Black realities: survey of African American society, and ESL135:Basic skills in academic listening & speaking. Though ESL class is very easy so far, when compared to other students who speak out their answers in the class, I think I have missed lots of chances to speak. It's should be improved.

So I'm gonna write about the last day of Thanksgiving break.
Too late? I know!!! But who cares?

On the last day, we decided to walk down to downtown Chicago. We had a plan visiting Brock's house in the evening so tried to arrive at Milwaukee by 5pm.  On the way to downtown, we stopped by Urban Outfitters (Chicago has two stores!) and I got new Levi's jacket, it was 60? 70? % off from the original price by their holiday sale and special discount from UO's app. Yaaaaay! I put this jacket almost everyday if it's not too cold outside. Definitely worth shopping it was.

For lunch, I finally ate Shake Shack! Yeeeeees!

I ordered SmokeShack burger and shared Cheese Fries with Gain.

The fries. Soooooo good.
This was not so greasy that even we had them with rich cheese it wasn't too much. Also, since I came to the US I haven't seen this shape of fries and that was one of the greatest point for me as well.

SmokeShack
"Cheeseburger topped with all-natural applewood smoked bacon, chopped cherry pepper, ShackSauce."

Shake Shack's best recommended burger is ShackBurger so maybe most people who has never tasted Shake Shack would order it, but this time I got SmokeShack. As you see the picture above it has not only bacons and also patty which is 100% all-natural Angus beef. Although it was really good as a whole and patty was very delicious, I realized I don't like bacon so much. Lol

Honestly I was planning to go Shake Shack when I would visit NY with my sister during winter break. One of my biggest dreams came true a little bit earlier haha But it was great time with my friends!

After eating lunch, we headed over to the Amtrak station in downtown.
We stayed there for just 3 days and that was not enough to see everything in Chicago, but I can say that the short trip was one of my best because of my amazing friends!
Thanks a lot to Risako, Gain, and Yegun!

※Do you think this post is kind of recommendation of Shake Shack?
I know. I though that too, but seriously I did nothing other than eating Shake Shack on the last day Lol anyway I strongly recommend you to visit Shake Shack if you have a chance! It's worth it!

See you next post.
